DVD

is the long weekend in NSW .. Queens Birthday on Monday..a public holiday..

the trains authority are supposed to make use of these non-working days to fixed up the train lines.. it was planned to cancel all train services around sydney and replaced them with buses..

BUT.. rain, rain and more rain came down since thursday.. has been windy and raining for 3 days in a row, Newcastle was declared a natural disaster zone, fortunately, Bobs all right after almost 20hours of power loss. NSW has been complaining about droughts, dam having low levels and irrigation systems failing. guess we all prayed too hard, it all came down once and for all, damaging road, flooding houses and taking lives. is a bit sad seeing floating cars and witnessing houses with the water level till the bed level. imagine when the water subsides, all the mud, and dirt and appliances that are not working. watching the road break into 2 on the news, just felt that once again, we should treasure what we are having..

anyway, we braved the rain and went to have dinner out cos Denise was working overtime till 8pm.. teaching her replacement with the programs because she is going to a bigger and better position next week.. congrats and all the best!
since we were in the mood for some arcade games, denise tried a game. she was supposed to hit the button when the number of the screen hit 1000 to get the jackpot prizes which are DVDs.. out of fun, we decided to try even though we were not interested in the DVDs titles that were available. so there we go.. $1 coin. start. 100, 200, 300......" tell me when to stop okie??" i replied" no way, i cant do that".. 700,800..900, we will get a minor prize if we hit between 995 - 1005. HIT! blinks* 1000 !! JACKPOT!!!!
i was amazed at the accuracy! before anything, we had to make a choice of out the DVDs, Casino Royale which we watched it and was crap was definately out!.. dejavu and night at the musuem.. we decided night of the musuem cos it was a show we could keep...hehe..we went home smiling cos we got a dollar dvd...is not the prize.. is the thrill..

here I am, watching Ocean 11 at home.. and feeling the cold, cos the wind and the rain just wouldnt stop. nice weather to sleep in. but we slept too much..
