Last Day 2007

is the last day of 2007.

life has certainly changed for me. got a job as a traffic engineer. got a car. 2 cars in fact.
moved a couple of times. many great events happened. good and bad. new places are explored. new friends (not many) are known.

what made me remember 2007?

Graduation
Family Visit> had a great time.
Cardno>new Collegues>pay rise>events>pissed off times>good times>
Justin Timberlake > great concert. I think he's just fantastic. cant help watching his DVD over and over again. (sounding a bit gay already isnt it).
Britney Spears. for all the wrong reasons
Man Utd lost the very 1st time I watched them live this year. which is 2 days ago.
Experience Climate Change. I must say> We did our part for the environment this year.

2008. What will this year bring us? what do I feel like getting in this brand new year. nope. not new year resolutions. as Denise says. resolutions don't work.

Family and Loved Ones to Stay Healthy & Safe;
Career>What I really want. not just keep on climbing> but improve technically. on the way to becoming indispensable. quite a long way;

Work towards a better life for us. not just a "getby" everyday life. not just a life in the scene. but something useful. connecting with the world. not just stuck in my comfort zone. did anyone say that areas outside the comfort zone are uncomfortable? you never know until you try it. expand the zone;

as always. never never do things twice. even small/minor issues.
think before action. think while action-ing. we've got brain. USE it.

What will surprise me in 2008?
Marriages> Brother Polar. any surprises?;
My Newly Renovated Home in McNair, Singapore;
How are we improving;
Us;
Myself.

questions that are not asked, questions with no answers. questions which only feelings can answer. questions that can made you bad tempered, angry or even hurt.

good actions are often over-looked by bad actions.

questions are always asked about the wrong things you do.

often, being the good leads to a praise.
being the good often leads to taken for granted.

2 more days to the New Year. things are not occuring as expected. no questions asked. no assumptions made. just taking for granted everything will just fall into place.

why? how comes?

CHERISH. no one knows whats happening the next minute.

You can't be forgiving, unless he/she gives you the opportunity.

25th Birthday

had a filling, very filling buffet lunch at Four Points Hotel in Sydney on my day. Seafood Buffet!. salmon, oyster, crayfish, prawns prawns and more prawns.

all thanks to DAD for this birthday present!!

and thanks to Denise for being here on my day. chocking up presents and cards. thanks for the company over the year =) . I hope we did not have too much to eat.

Cardno Christmas Lunch 2007

The picture tells it all.. had a filling christmas lunch last Friday. Last day of work for the year. YES, Im off for the whole of this week and only return to the office on the 2/1/08!

btw, xmas lunch was awesome, boss brought in the whole salmon,oysters, loads of prawns and crabs, meat and salad. we had kris kringle and i've got a Ministy of Sound CD.

and also, the management of Cardno Eppell Olsen decided to give us a 'hamper' each. My fridge is loaded with beer and spirits!

25 years ago this day 23 Dec....

a baby boy was born at Kendang Kerbau Hospital...

not before bursting the water bag at 3 am in the morning, too eager to see the world.

there he is, 25 years later

in the Southern Hemisphere, down at Sydney, Australia still exploring the world within himself.

the basement car park for my office building has been invaded by spiders. webs everywhere once you step out of the lift.

2 more working weeks. 2 more slacking weeks. hehe.. lunch tomorrow, company party on friday. is all happening during this festive season.

just came back from the 1st xmas party/gathering of the month full of holidays!
45 minutes drive to this high class area, where only carpet grass exists at the side of the footpaths.. we had quite a good time, nice food cooked by fillipinos and indonesians... except for an AWKWARD moment.

work has been pretty good..went to a Road Safey Auditor's course for 2 days last week. met quite a few people from different companies. satisfied with my own performance but of course, there are still a number of things that I need to improve.

pretty slack for this month, christmas decorations, kris kringles, new staffs/interns joining in. but still, have to get a few reports out and don't really like the last minute attitude.
what to do, sometimes, information are passed to you at the last minute, and because your boss is busy, it becomes your fault when you don asked for the information. dilemma. bosses are always right, arent they? fat asses.

not to forget, another new member in our family, OTTO! blackish blue crown tailed fighter with 2 electrifying white fins/feelers. we knew we gonna get him once we saw him. photos will be up soOn.. from denise's blog.. hehe...Re-introducing the fighter fishes: Pymble, Posie and Otto!

this month gonna zooM past, 2 more working weeks for the new year and thats it, 2008 is here, another year older, more new year resolutions and more things to fulfil.. and i will be back in singapore during the Feb month! how cool izat!!
